2002 Fair Housing Advocacy Award
C.O.I.N. received the 2002 Fair Housing Award for continuing excellence in
serving the needs of neighborhoods. The Fair Housing Program is administered
through the City of Knoxville and uses the Fair Housing Opportunities
Ordinance which prohibits discrimination in housing. This programs
goal is to assure decent and suitable living conditions for every citizen
and to prevent discrimination in the sale or rental of housing based on race,
national origin, religion, sex, disability or family status.
