Anti-Noise Ordinance Enforcement
For many years, neighborhood residents had been complaining about various
forms of noise pollution. The loud auto radios, exhaust, private
parties, etc. were a continual source of frustration to citizens and law
enforcement alike because the existing ordinance was declared
unconstitutional.
As an organization that speaks for neighborhoods, C.O.I.N. led the way in
convincing Knoxville City Council to enact a noise ordinance that is
enforceable and agreeable to all entities (neighborhoods, residents,
businesses, and the Knoxville Police Department).
